Medtronic Spinal Simulator | BME Design | 2019-2020
The Spinal Simulator concepts are iterations of an adjustable practice model for surgeons to practice various scoliosis surgeries on. The tension, torsion, and material of each section of the spine is modeled to feel as close to an actual human spine as possible. Each section of the spine is replaceable so the model can be used repeatedly.
Fall Cushion | BME Design | 2019-2020
Concepts are for a wearable airbag to prevent hip injuries, which can lead to long-term repercussions. The airbags will have the ability to detect irregular motion and activate as the fall occurs.
